Constantine

Brief History on James Constantine, formerly of Clan Tremere

After finishing his thaumaturgical teaching at the Tremere Clan's HQ in Venice, he went on to study Camarilla Law, and eventually became a barred Camarilla Attorney. Years of this grew boring and repetitive, and he decided he wanted more excitement, so he moved to the "frontier of the Camarilla's boundry's, and was transferred by the Clan to the Tucson Chantry to learn under Regent Colin MacFearchair. Unfortunately, during paking, and the long trip overseas (and accross country), Regent MacFearchair was killed by Lupines, and he found his first meeting with his fellow ClanMates, to be during Colin's Wake.

Under the next Regent, Dr. Steven Wurster, he learned more of the "transitionalist" method of thaumaturgy, rather than the typical Tremere Paths and rituals, and assisted Regent Wurster with several "experiments".

It should be noted, that Constantine became much more active in Tucson's political structure as time went on. Under the first system of Government Tucson created after it's apparant acceptance into the Camarilla, he (and the rest of Clan Tremere) acted as Keeper of Elysium. Then, with various Tradition violations, a coterie called T.O.T.A.L (Tribunal On Traditional And Laws) was formed consisting of himself as "speaker", and 2 other kindred. TOTAL was made to judge Tradition and/or Masquerade violations, and make their recommedations to the Prince (which at this time was the 1st Prince of Tucson, Steven Wurster). TOTAL was disbanded after one of the other members was found to have been converted to the Sabbat. After TOTAL disbanded, Constantine lent his knowledge to the Prince and Primogen, to assist with any Masqurade or Tradition violations.

When Regent Wurster was promoted to Lord, and left Tucson, Constantine was promoted to Regent for the Tucson Chantry. At this time, Alex Krammer had been "voted in" as Prince by the Kindred population of Tucson, but took no other position of political power other than his seat on the Primogen, due to Clan orders.

Seeing himself politically stifled by his own Clan, Constantine began a slow downward spiral into hell, and only found solace in his research. Eventually, he became so upset over the populace's perception of his Clan, that he left Clan Tremere, after some apparant bargain with the Tremere Inner Council of Seven, allowing him to live, in exchange for a "the mark of Cain" which was magically put upon his forehead ( OOC- using Auspex will pick this up), and his solemn vow to assist in teaching his former Clanmates in Tucson.

Constantine is one of the Eldest residing Kindred in Tucson, being 3rd only to Maxwell of Clan Gengrel, and Darius- also of Clan Tremere.

It is common knowledge that Constantine is a Master of the Thamaturgical path known as Movement of the Mind, and well as Path of Blood. Rumours within the Clan, speak of a Path he is currently working on the mixes his abilities with Movement of the Mind, and molecular control. He also appartantly has alot of mortal influence within Tucson, especially within the Health Industry.
